FREE and Great PD Opportunity

The University of Montevallo Inservice Center still has a good bit of space in our ARI Literacy Development Re-Tooling for K-5 sessions that is being held on July 21-23 (3-day session) at the University of Montevallo Regional In-Service Center in Pelham.  Just sharing in case someone is still looking for some FREE and GREAT professional development this summer.  You will get a participant notebook.

Description:  The goal of the three day session is to gain understanding of the developing proficient reader. By understanding the ARI conceptual framework, components of reading, formative assessment, and ELA standards, teachers will become better equipped to address the critical needs of readers in the classroom.  Participants should bring pencils, pens, and a laptop or tablet with Internet capability.

Interested participants should register in STI-PD using PD Title Number UMINS15-20.

NOTE:  Although there are multiple sessions listed under this number, you should register for the correct grade band (K-2 or 3-5) for the July 21-23 sessions only.  The others are for specific school systems.
